Candy Lacy Girl's Top

I made a 'Lacy Top' from the Lionbrand site for Valorey.

I ended up using a H hook to get gauge. I used Red Heart 'Candy Print' which I ended up getting on sale and didn't know it. lol. Plus you don't have to pay tax on yarn at A.C. Moore!

I made her sleeves long enough to go to the middle of her hand.

I flared her sleeves at the bottom, which I love how it looks, don't you?

Instead of snaps like the pattern calls for I put ties in the inside and the outside.

My daughter loves it.

Child Coloring Bag Finished!!

The party is tomorrow, and I went and got a coloring book and a pack of markers today. So here are pics:

There are nine marker/pencil/crayon pockets in the front.

It's rough cut/frayed style. the straps are frayed, so is the edge of the marker pockets and the applique.

It's in backpack style, which is so versatile. It's elastic at the top enough the get the books in, and just enough so they won't fall out when held upside down.

Gotta love it. Which I do. So ya know I gotta make more. lol.

I'm gonna try to sell some custom made ones

on myspace & by word of mouth.

Also including a tracing name sheet w/ it.

I have 3 more things to do then it's done. I think it's really neat. Hoping (*crossing fingers*) that this will be my prototype for more to come, for gifts and to sell.

We have a birthday coming up on Saturday for ....let's see...My husband's cousin's son. lol. His name is Dakota and I think he's going to be 5. I've been debating over the last two weeks weather or not to make him something or just go buy him something. Well I decided to make him this coloring bag, something like the ones I have seen around on ebay and etsy. I'm making it out of a pair of men's jeans, I do have enough material cause they are Jnco, and those are always so wide legged. I have the front part done, as far as the slots go, and I need to put the applique on yet, then the front part will be done. :)

Well, a tiny set back w/ progress. I realized the size I was making was really wrong. So I ripped out all my connecting, and just saved my squares. So now I have 10 squares done and still 2 3/4 squares done. I need 22 squares, 2 3/4 squares, and 2 half squares.

Crocheted Bolero CAL

I started in a bolero Cal at craftster. You can view the thread HERE.

Here's a pic of my first square for it.

I'm hoping this will come out really nice. I'm planning on making the Small size, reason 1: cause I'm planning on losing weight (have another 33lbs to go), reason 2: my gauge is a .5" bigger then the gauge, I'm hoping it'll work itself out. :)
